Principal

Evan Prestwidge

B.Tax, CA

Evan has 20 years of professional experience. He has an intimate knowledge of tax, accounting and business issues. Evan appreciates the difficulties businesses face and is committed to helping clients implement strategies to achieve their business and personal goals.

Away from the office, Evan enjoys time with his wife and three young children. He also enjoys all sports – especially soccer, taking an active role in the running of his local community soccer club at Charlestown and coaching a junior development team.

Bill Chaseling

B.Com, FCA Financial Planning Specialist

Bill has over 40 years of professional experience. As a Chartered Accountant, financial planning specialist, tax agent and registered company auditor, he is qualified to help assist individuals and businesses succeed in a complex environment and assist them to achieve their goals. He also specialises in the field of superannuation including self-managed superannuation funds. Bill is committed to providing long term mutually beneficial relationships with clients.

Away from the office, Bill enjoys spending his time with his family and sailing Lake Macquarie, be it for pleasure or twilight racing on Friday evening. He also contributes to sailing in his capacity as honorary Commodore of the Lake Macquarie Yacht Club.

Carol Patten

BA Accounting, Dip FP, CPA

Carol has over 30 years of professional experience. Carol has a double major in accounting and law. Carol joined the firm in 2001 and is a Certified Practicing Accountant. She has an intimate knowledge of all things superannuation – including self-managed funds, financial planning, retirement, investment and insurance. Carol is a specialist advisor in superannuation law and practice.

Away from the office Carol enjoys the increased freedom that comes with having young adult children. She is a Wests Tigers member (NRL) and you will find her at most of their home games. She loves musical theatre, visiting her children in Sydney & Melbourne and aims to travel more. At home Carol enjoys having friends over, a good book or movie and hot chocolate.

Mitchell Ryan

B.Business (Accounting), CPA

Mitchell has over 10 years of experience in professional practice and joined the firm in 2014. As a Certified Practicing Accountant Mitchell has acquired a wide range of knowledge and experience aimed at servicing small to medium enterprises. Mitchell is able to assist you in tax and compliance issues when they arise during the year, not just at tax time to ensure you are being looked after all year round.

Outside work Mitchell enjoys spending time with his family and sport, especially rugby league as he is an avid Eels supporter.

Jeremy Buckley

B.Bus, B.Com

Jeremy graduated from Newcastle University and is currently undertaking the CA Program. He joined the firm in 2014 and assists individual and business clients with their tax compliance and planning needs.

Away from the office Jeremy loves his sport especially AFL for which he plays in the Hunter region’s Black Diamond AFL competition for the Warners Bay Bulldogs. He is also a long suffering St Kilda supporter. Amongst his other hobbies he plays the guitar, loves his music and enjoys most things to do with the great outdoors.

Jenny Bambey

Jenny has been with the firm for over 25 years. Jenny is a Para professional in the tax and small business area of the practice and has taken on an MYOB bookkeeping role for many clients, including training.

Away from the office Jenny enjoys reading, spending time with her family and escorting her 2 active boys to their numerous extra curriculum activities.

Cary Hemphill

Cary joined the firm in 2015 and is currently undertaking his commerce degree at Newcastle University. He assists with client’s compliance needs in tax, accounting and GST areas.

Away from the office, Cary enjoys spending time with his wife and friends, supporting the Carlton Blues in the AFL, cruising in his 1967 Chev Camaro, go karting, playing drums and listening to all types of music.

Leanne Osborne

Leanne is our office manager and administrator. She has been with the firm for over 25 years and assists the firm and its clients in many ways, including bookkeeping, tax compliance work and ASIC responsibilities.

Away from the office, Leanne enjoys camping with her family and is trying to see as much of Australia as possible. She also enjoys having the odd game of golf on her day off.

Jane Williams

Jane joined the firm in February 2017 in the receptionist and assistant administration role. Jane is able to assist with most matters as the firm’s first point of contact.

Away from the office, Jane enjoys spending time with her family down at the beach or park. She enjoys catching up with friends over coffee or reading a book.
